Second Measure is the featured band for our June First Saturday Music concert. A newly formed Montgomery-based duo, Second Measure covers songs spanning the genres of pop, rock, folk, country, and R&B.
Vocalist and guitar player Brendan Crimi, fronted several popular area bands over the last decade (House On Wheels, The F. Scotts and Mullet Over) and draws inspiration from artists such as Van Morrison, Mark Knopfler, Bill Withers, and Ed Sheeran. Growing up in Montgomery, Joanie Conoly was influenced at an early age by her parents who played in a folk band together. Joanie counts artists such as Alison Krauss, Kacey Musgraves, Patty Griffin and Brooke Fraser to be among her many influences. Together, Brendan and Joanie collaborate to form an acoustic sound with harmony centric vocal arrangements. You can expect to hear classics from Dobie Gray, John Denver and Simon & Garfunkel to the latest pop and rock releases from Pink, John Mayer, Needtobreathe and Lady Gaga.
